Randy Economy is historically known for his role as Media Spokesman, and a lead organizer of the effort to recall California Governor Gavin Newsom—otherwise known as “The People’s Recall!” The effort was a global news story for eighteen months. The story went out to 38 countries where Randy gave interviews to the media. South Africa, Tanzania, Great Britain, BBC, Russia, Taiwan, Romania, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Philippines, and Aljazeera in the Middle East.
Economy gave more than twenty-six hundred media interviews including appearances on CNN, MSNBC, Newsmax, NBC Nightly News, ABC News, and 330 other media outlets. The Iconic magazine, Mother Jones, called Economy “A Superhero Radio Host” and due to his research and knowledge of the governor, the magazine labeled Newsom a “…strange and dangerous threat!”
Beyond his media reach, Economy also established a valuable contact list of important leaders across partisan lines, who continue to demand political change in California and America.
His work as a consultant is well respected, as is his political knowledge, which he has applied to more than three-hundred Republican, Democratic and Libertarian political campaigns since 1982.
Randy Economy is a small business owner who has served as CEO of Hot Water and Studio Production. His clients include many major media outlets across the state and nation.
In 2022 Randy Economy became a candidate for the California Board of Equalization District 4. His campaign for the BOE was supported by many friends who worked on “The People’s Recall.” While he failed to win the job, he
thanked his many supporters as they demonstrated his unfailing work to make California a better state for small businesses, and taxpayer rights.
Randy is legally blind, overcame many obstacles in his life, and says he hasn’t lived a perfect life but a blessed life. Economy became a Roman Catholic in 2006 dedicating thousands of hours to the church helping people overcome drug and alcohol addiction.
